Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Yodha, has not announced his next film. However, reports are coming in that he will be next seen in Mitti. He has been shooting also. Amid this another report claims that he will be soon seen in Karan Johar’s next action drama. Sidharth has heard the script and has shown interest also.
Bollywood Hungama has mentioned in its report saying, “Sidharth Malhotra and Karan Johar share a very special bond and the latter feels that the former is meant to do action films. When he was developing the script, the name of Sid naturally crossed his mind. He narrated the film to Sid, and the actor has shown interest in mentors’ action film. Given the track record of Karan, and the respect Sid has for his mentor, things will fly through in the right direction and the dotted lines will be signed once Karan Johar locks the entire script. Right now, they have discussed the idea and it’s a verbal yes.”
It was recently reported that Sidharth Malhotra has opted out of a Meghna Gulzar movie which wanted him to portray a “tough man in uniform”.
While the reports of Sidharth Malhotra rejecting Meghna Gulzar’s film left his fans confused, it has now been confirmed that the actor opted out of the project because he wants to consider new genres. Sources close to the actor state that he has been turning down roles in uniform for now, preferring to take up roles that allow him to showcase his versatility as an actor and explore more varied genres of films. Sidharth previously played a hero in uniform in projects like the National Award Winning Film ‘Shershaah’, ‘Indian Police Force’ and ‘Yodha’.
Besides this, rumours are rife that Sidharth will soon be reuniting on screen with his actress-wife Kiara Advani for a romantic comedy. The film will mark which will mark their first movie together since their wedding in February 2023. Recently, Sidharth was speaking to ETimes when he shared an exciting update on the film and said, “Oh yeah, that’s very much on the table. We can’t say for sure, but we were very interested in working together and finding the correct script combination, where both of us justify our roles. Also, the audience gets to see us after Shershaah, which we got a lot of love for. It is about getting the correct elements in place.”
