Some actors make a lasting impact on the film industry with their performances, but for reasons unknown, fade away into obscurity. Such is the story of former comedy actor and stuntman, Vengal Rao. He has released a video on social media, appealing to the public for financial help.
The former actor was an immensely popular name in the Tamil cinema, known for his hilarious characters in several films. Some of his most famous pairings were with fellow comedian actor, Vadivelu. As per the information given, they have worked in more than 30 films together and some of their scenes are still popular among the fans.
As per the reports, Vengal Rao is experiencing serious health complications and has released a video to the public and the film industry, asking for financial aid. Through the video, he explained his deteriorating health condition, revealing that he is suffering from paralysis, which rendered his one arm and one leg motionless. According to more information, he suffered from a kidney problem in 2022. At the moment, he is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, his hometown. The video shows the actor visibly struggling to speak because of his paralysis, clearly going through a difficult time.

Tamilian actor Kayal Devaraj took to his official X handle, to share the video. He attached the video to a tweet in Tamil, which roughly translates to, “[Vengal Rao] has lost the function of one arm and one leg and is undergoing treatment in his hometown Vijayawada. He released a video asking actors and film technicians to help him with medical expenses.”
Going by the new reports, actor Silambarasan, a prominent name in Tamil cinema, has reportedly donated Rs 2 lakh to provide aid to Vengal Rao’s treatment. He became the first actor to respond to the video appeal released by Vengal Rao.
Vengal Rao started his career as a stuntman, working as a stunt double for actors like Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth. After an injury, he decided to try his hand at acting. He was last seen in Vadivelu starrer, Naai Sekar Returns.
