Taapsee Pannu is gearing up for two back-to-back releases next month— Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba and Khel Khel Mein. Yesterday, the makers of Khel Khel Mein dropped a new song from the film. It is titled Hauli Hauli. The makers hosted a special event for the song release, which was attended by the cast and crew of the film. Taapsee Pannu also arrived at the event adding to the stardust. A video of the actress has now surfaced online.
Taapsee Pannu arrived at the venue and flaunted her million-dollar smile as she struck some poses for the paparazzi. Dressed in a strapless yellow dress, the actress looked beautiful, holding a rose.
Speaking of the peppy Punjabi number Hauli Hauli, it features Akshay Kumar, Ammy Virk, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal and Fardeen Khan decked up in the traditional attires and grooving to the tunes of the song. Guru Randhawa, Yo Yo Honey Singh and Neha Kakkar have crooned Hauli Hauli.
Meanwhile, Khel Khel Mein marks Taapsee Pannu’s fourth collaboration with Akshay Kumar after Baby (2015) followed by Naam Shabana (2017) and Mission Mangal. Notably, their last project Mission Mangal was released on Independence Day. Incidentally, Khel Khel Mein, too, is also scheduled to hit the theatres on August 15.
During the song release event, Taapsee Pannu reflected on the reasons behind signing Khel Khel Mein. She shared, “There were two reasons to do the film – kisko comedy karne mein maza nahin aata? Aur dusra reason yeh ki kisko Mudassar Aziz ki line bolne mein mazaa nahin aayega?”
Taapsee Pannu added, “I enjoy doing ensemble cast films. I’ll share a trivia. 5 years ago, on August 15, Mission Mangal had released. It featured Akshay sir and I and it was also a multi-starrer. So I am hoping (for a repeat of Mission Mangal’s success); fingers crossed.”
As for Taapsee Pannu’s Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba, the romantic thriller will be released on Netflix on August 9. The film, a sequel to 2021 released by Hassen Dillruba, stars Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal and Jimmy Shergill in the lead roles. On July 25, the makers of the film unveiled the much-awaited trailer, promising an engaging storyline as Rani Kashyap and Rishu Saxena seek a fresh start after the incident that changed their lives in the last installment.
