Tamil Actor Pradeep K Vijayan Found Dead; Cause of Death Being Investigated

Tamil actor Pradeep Vijayan was found dead at his Palavakkam (Chennai, Tamil Nadu) residence on June 12, 2024. As reported by India Today, the actor’s friend was trying to reach him for the past two days. However, when his calls went unanswerable, he informed the police officials. When cops reached Pradeep’s residence, he was found dead.

Reportedly, the Neelankarai police, along with the fire department, broke into the house and found that Pradeep was lying on the floor. There was an injury on his head. His body has now been sent to a government hospital for postmortem and the cause of death is being investigated.

Actress and singer Soundarya Bala Nandakumar confirmed the news of Pradeep’s death via a post on her X (formerly known as Twitter) handle. She expressed shock and remembered the actor saying, “Ok this is coming as a shocker. Was very fond of him as a brother. No we never used to talk everyday but whenever once in a blue moon we spoke affection was very much intact You will be terribly missed Pradeep K Vijayan anna. May your soul rest in peace (sic).”

Pradeep was fondly called ‘Pappu’. He made his acting debut in 2013 and has acted in several films, including ‘Theigidi’ and ‘Hey Sinamika’. The actor was last seen in S Kathiresan film ‘Rudhran’ which also starred Raghava Lawrence in the lead. He recently wrapped up the shoot for ‘Maharaja’, which stars Vijay Sethupathi in the lead. Pradeep will be playing a supporting role in the film which will hit theatres on June 14, 2024.
