She has not only spread her acting prowess in Bollywood, but also in South cinema. She was once a superstar and used to be the first choice of directors, but now she is far away from the glamour industry. Asin worked with superstars like Akshay Kumar, Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn and Aamir Khan during her career. The interesting thing is that most of her films are superhits and impress the audience every time. She made her acting debut in the Malayalam film Narendran Makan Jayakanthan Vaka in 2001 at the age of 15. Born in October 1985, Asin has worked in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi films. She started her career in Telugu film industry with Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi in 2003, at the age of 17. In the same year, she also debuted in Tamil cinema with the film, M Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi.
After working in many Tamil-Telugu films, Asin made her Bollywood debut in 2008 with the Aamir Khan-starrer Ghajini, which became the first Bollywood film to earn more than Rs 100 crore at the domestic box office. After this, she worked in many superhit films like Ready with Salman Khan, Bol Bachchan with Abhishek Bachchan and Ajay Devgn, and Khiladi 786 with Akshay Kumar.
Asin was last seen in the 2015 film All is Well, and since then she has been enjoying her married life. In 2016, Asin gave priority to her personal life and decided to focus on her family life. She married Micromax co-founder and CEO Rahul Sharma at the Dusit Devarana Hotel in Delhi.
After this, Asin retired from acting and decided to focus on having a family, away from the glamour world. The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Arin, in October 2017. She and her husband, Rahul Sharma, have a net worth of Rs 1,300 crore.
