Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are one of Bollywood’s ‘it’ couples. They tied the knot on December 9, 2021, at the stunning Fort Barwara in Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, after dating for a few years and keeping it under wraps. The intimate wedding was talked-about for its strict no-phone policy at the grand venue. In a recent interview with Zoom, Vicky Kaushal’s brother, Sunny Kaushal, who stars in Phir Aayi Haseen Dilruba with Taapsee Pannu, shared the real reason behind this decision. He revealed that the policy was not due to security concerns but rather because the guests were having such a great time that they didn’t feel the need for their phones.
“My friends, my relatives, and Katrina’s relatives, everybody bonded so well; we partied and enjoyed so much that we did not realise where those 3 days went. There was no pressure to hide or show anything. Pressure lekar nahin ho paati hai shaadi,” Sunny said during the chat.
Last year, Katrina Kaif shared at the Red Sea Film Festival that she was nervous during the wedding planning. She revealed that they felt anxious, especially as they aimed to gather Katrina’s family from around the world. She had said, “We were trying to plan our wedding just as the world was opening up. Like many, many people, we had to wait for the lockdowns to be lifted so that we could have a wedding with all our families there. All that I was keeping my fingers crossed for was that my entire family had to be there from all the corners of the world which we managed. So yes, that was wonderful.”
Three years after Haseen Dillruba was released, Taapsee Pannu and Vikrant Massey are back with their sequel, and Sunny Kaushal is joining them on this ride. Titled Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, the love triangle is set against the backdrop of Hindi pulp fiction and is set for a premiere on Netflix on August 9.
