Kartam Bhugtam, the newly released Shreyas Talpade and Vijay Raaz-starrer, is proving to be a success among the audience. The visionary behind the film, director Soham P Shah, expressed his elation at the film’s success in a new interview.
Dubbed as a psychological thriller, Kartam Bhugtam delves into the themes of karma and what it can bring. The title of the film itself translates to “What goes around, comes around,” giving a small glimpse into what the film promises.
Talking about the positive response his work is receiving, Soham Shah showed his enthusiasm. He stated that some people think a film will not stay in theatres for long, even before its release. However, every film speaks for itself, said the director. Speaking further, he said, “The fact is that the critics, industry and the audience have given a lot of love to Kartam Bhootam.”
Mentioning the film’s second release week, the director revealed that it has gained good momentum. He said, “With the love and support of the audience, we are entering the second week in a very strong way. In the end, everything comes down to one thing if your film is good, no force can stop it.” According to him, the success of a film does not solely depend on its box-office collections, but also on what kind of response the audience is giving it. Soham feels that Kartam Bhugtam was received by the people with an ‘open heart.’
Since the film is receiving widespread acclaim and publicity, more shows are being added to the theatres to meet its increasing demands, the reports state.
Kartam Bhugtam is directed as well as written by Soham P Shah and was released theatrically on May 17. The film stars Shreyas Talpade, Vijay Raaz, Madhoo and Aksha Pardasany in prominent roles. It is produced under the banner of Gandhar Films & Studio. Shabbir Ahmad composed the music for the release while the editing was done by Biren Jyoti Mohanty.
