Atul Parchure, a prominent name in the Indian film and television industry, passed away on October 14, after battling cancer. The death has sent shockwaves across the industry; celebrities and fans alike pouring tribute to the man and his legacy as an actor. An earlier interview of his wife, Sonia Parchure is now going viral among fans, where she detailed the challenges of the actor, as he dealt with cancer and what it was like for her. As per reports, Sonia Parchure gave an interview a while ago to a YouTube channel, where she delved into the struggles she and her late husband Atul Parchure faced in his battle with cancer. According to her, she was completely helpless as a wife in that situation. She added that if a person receives the right support from their close ones during a grave illness, they get all the strength to deal with it.
Sonia stated that for an artist, their voice is the most important thing in the world. So, when the late actor was undergoing treatment, it started affecting his voice. She complained to the doctor about the condition and how it should not happen. They told her to understand his situation, Sonia added.
Speaking further, she added, “Seeing Atul’s condition at that time, I kept thinking how can I get him out of this.” Many people came to wish him well for better health and assured them that he will come out of this. A lot of people called her and some even visited holy places like Somnath and Girnar to pray for him. She revealed the couple had not asked the others to do so, but they only travelled out of love for the actor. And he got better and was able to win the battle initially.
Two years ago, when he was on a trip to Australia-New Zealand, he felt his health deteriorating. When he returned to India, he consulted a doctor and was asked to do an ultrasonography. It was then revealed that he had a tumour in his liver. Atul Parchure himself revealed once that he received the wrong treatment for it.
