Zendaya Treats Fans To BTS Dump From Upcoming Sports-Drama Challengers

Zendaya has treated fans to a ‘little BTS dump’ of her upcoming film, Challengers. The actress will be essaying the role of a tennis player in this Luca Guadagnino directorial. The sports drama, infused with some romantic elements, is scheduled to hit the big screens on April 26. Ahead of its premiere, Zendaya offered a sneak peek of her experience filming the movie with the cast and crew members, including how she trained herself for the sport. The Dune star expressed her gratitude to the people associated with the Challengers, and on a heartwarming note, hoped that the audience “enjoyed the film".

“A little BTS dump in honour of the Challengers movie coming out in a couple of days. This is my first time leading a film in this way so ya girls have been nervous but everyone’s excitement and encouragement have meant the world to me. I’m so honoured that I get to do this beside these incredibly talented, brilliant (and hilarious) people and on behalf of all of us, we hope you enjoy the film again. Try not to judge the characters too much lol but also Team Tashi," read Zendaya’s caption.

The first slide captured Zendaya sitting on a chair, presumably outside a tennis court premises. It was followed by actor Josh O’Connor, who plays a crucial role in the Challengers, trying to attempt a flip bottle challenge. After some initial failure, he finally succeeds and the room erupts in cheers. Zendaya was recording the video. The next snap featured another cast member aka Mike Faist in the makeup room, having a salad bowl. Zendaya, on another slide, rolled on a gym ball and engaged in a game of tennis to learn the activity.

The rest of the clicks and videos showed the cast and crew having a blast with each other on the Challengers’ sets.

Earlier, in an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Zendaya revealed that she found herself both in an awkward and hilarious situation when her parents watched the intimate scenes of the Challengers. The film revolves around a tennis prodigy-turned-coach named Tashi who is married to another tennis player on a losing streak. Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s win takes a shocking turn when he comes in a tennis face-off with his former friend and Tashi’s ex-partner.
