Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan and Nupur Shikhare got married in Mumbai today. The couple got engaged in September last year in Italy. Two months later, they hosted an intimate engagement party that was attended by family and close friends, including Imran Khan, Aamir’s ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao and actor Fatima Sana Shaikh. Ahead of the wedding, the groom-to-be was seen jogging to the venue.
Instead of opting for the conventional horseback or a flower-decorated car, Aamir Khan’s would-be son-in-law reportedly chose to jog with his friends to Taj Lands End, the wedding venue. He was seen navigating through heavy traffic in a vest and shorts, as the paparazzi followed him. The video is now going viral on the internet.
The groom, in fact, got the marriage registered in the same vest and shorts. A video from the venue has been going viral now. In the video, one can see Ira decked up in a lehenga, while Nupur stuck to his gym clothes. Aamir was accompanied by his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao on stage as the couple got married.
Many have been taking to the comments section to talk about the groom’s choice of clothes for the registry. One user wrote, “Ladka sidhe gym se aaya tha shadi karne”. Another wrote, “Sherwani ke paise bach gaye”. “They think it is cool to do different… But don’t know sometimes different thing make you wierd also,” read another comment on the video.
