Akshay Kumar is celebrating his 56th birthday on Saturday, September 9. On this special day, the actor visited Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar temple to seek blessings. He was also accompanied by his sister, niece and son Aarav. Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan also joined the actor with his family. Reportedly, Kumar and Dhawan reached the temple directly from the Indore airport on Saturday morning and took part in the bhasma aarti.
In a video that surfaced online, Akshay Kumar was seen clad in saffron cloth as he also sported a teeka and sought blessings at the holy temple with folded hands. In the same video, Shikhar Dhawan can also be seen sitting inside the temple.
As reported by India Today, Akshay Kumar also spoke to the media outside the temple and shared that he prayed for the progress and development of the country from Mahakal.

Akshay Kumar was last seen in OMG 2 with Pankaj Tripathi. Released on August 11, 2023, the film was widely loved by all. The film had a lifetime collection of over Rs 150 crore.
Next, Akshay will be seen in Mission Raniganj, the teaser of which was recently released. The film promises to be a thrilling ride, packed with suspense, courage, and the determination to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. It is inspired by a real-life incident and presents the heroic act of the late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill who led Bharat’s coal mine rescue mission. Singh (portrayed by Akshay Kumar) played a significant role in rescuing all the surviving miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989. Besides Akshay, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead. Mission Raniganj is their second mother together. The two actors previously worked together in the 2019 film Kesari.
Mission Raniganj will hit theatres on October 6, 2023.
