Legendary singer Asha Bhosle turned 90 on September 8, and she celebrated her birthday with a live concert in Dubai. It was a Broadway-style live show in Dubai’s Coca-Cola Arena. The legendary singer has sung over 12,000 songs in her career spanning around 80 years. Not long ago, during the CNN News18’s Rising India-She Shakti conclave in New Delhi, Asha Bhosle had opened up about the big show.
The show was attended by celebs like Jackie Shroff, Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Sara Tendulkar and many others. The singer took to stage to sing songs like Maine Hoton Se Lagayi Toh, Yeh Mera Dil Pyar Ka Deewana, Kala Chasma, Ayiye Meherbaan and Pucho Naa Pyar Kya Huya. Celebs also stayed back for a happening afterparty.
Jackie Shroff took to Instagram to share a photo with the legendary singer and wrote, “Blessed to have witnessed the magical @asha.bhosle at a concert in Dubai on her 90th birthday.” Actress Zahra S Khan, too, was present at the afterparty along with Sara Tendulkar and Zanai Bhosle.
Zanai Bhosle, the granddaughter of Asha Bhosle and the daughter of Anand Bhosle, also performed at the grand show. For the afterparty, she slipped into a silver, metallic halter-neck maxi. She posed alongside her friends Zara Khan, who looked beautiful in a blue cowl-neck dress and Sara Tendulkar, who rocked black maxi.
Zanai entered the music scene with a special project called 6 Pack, India’s transgender band. On Sunday, she took to her Instagram stories and dropped a clip, in which she can be seen cutting the birthday cake with Asha Bhosle. Dressed in a simple white saree, the singer received a kiss on her cheeks from Zanai at the end of the video. She also penned a birthday wish which read, “Happy Birthday dearest darling Ashaai! Finally something where I am not crying because of how much I love you.”
