Fukrey 3 is one of the most awaited movies. While the rest of the cast members will be reprising their roles from Fukrey and Fukrey Returns (2017) in Fukrey 3, Ali Fazal had opted out of the film due to his tight schedule. However, if a recent report by Bollywood Hungama is to be believed, Ali will be making a special appearance in Fukrey 3. Reportedly, Ali, who played Zafar, a struggling musician, in the Fukrey franchise, will share a big update and promise a fourth film in the franchise towards the end of Fukrey 3.
“Ali has a small part in Fukrey 3, although the makers have not revealed his presence and have neither featured him in the promotional material. He will be seen continuing his role as Zafar from the previous two films, and will come in at the end of the film,” a source cited by the entertainment portal claimed.
“Fukrey 3 also hints about its next instalment. This is where Ali comes in, hinting that part four of the franchise will begin with his character Zafar,” the insider added.
Earlier, Ali Fazal also talked about his absence from Fukrey 3 when he told News18 Showsha, “It breaks my heart but that has nothing to do with Hollywood. It was actually… I was stuck with work here and Mirzapur 3 was also happening at the same time. It was the same production, so we all had to take a call together. It was honestly heart-breaking for all of us but it’s Fukrey, it is family. I chill with these guys more than I end up shooting with them. I think it is one of the few friendships that have carried on for so long.”
Fukrey 3 also stars Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat and Manjot Singh in key roles. Pankaj Tripathi has also joined the third part of the franchise. Directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba under the banner of Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment, Fukrey 3 will hit theatres on September 28.
