From its memorable dialogues to its beautiful songs, Karan Johar’s Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham has become iconic for various reasons. Even today, fans love quoting lines from the 2001 blockbuster. The charm of the film captivated the younger generation too, including Shah Rukh Khan’s son AbRam.
Amitabh Bachchan, who portrayed SRK’s father in K3G, shared a picture on Instagram featuring himself with AbRam back in 2018. Alongside the photo, he wrote, “And this be little Abram, Shah Rukh’s little one… who thinks, believes and is convinced beyond any doubt, that I am his father’s father…And wonders why Shahrukh’s father does not stay with him!” The phot was taken during his granddaughter Aaradhya’s birthday celebration. Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan have also worked together in Mohabbatein, Veer-Zaara, Paheli and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, among others.
To this, Shah Rukh Khan had taken to the comments section to write, “Sir aayaa karo na! Please stay at home with AbRam on Saturdays at least… he has some really amazing games on his iPad… you can play Doodle Jump with him!”
In fact, back in 2017, Amitabh Bachchan had shared photos with Shah Rukh Khan and AbRam at Aradhya’s birthday bash and written, “And as for this little bundle .. he wanted the fluffy ‘buddhi ka baal’ cone .. so we took him to the stall made one for him and the joy of getting it is just priceless .. Abram, jr Shahrukh .. delectable !!” To this, Shah Rukh Khan had replied, “Thank u sir. This is a moment he will always cherish. By the way he thinks u r my ‘papa’ when he sees u on TV”.
In Karan Johar Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Amitabh Bachchan portrayed Yash Raichand, a wealthy business tycoon, while Shah Rukh Khan played his son Rahul. The plot revolves around Rahul’s estrangement from the family after he marries a woman of his own choice.
