Vijayawada: Governor E S L Narasimhan on Friday asserted that there were "no disputes" between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and all issues were being sorted out through negotiations.

After a 90-minute meeting with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday, Narasimhan told reporters that "if there is any (contentious) issue, we will resolve it amicably through discussions".

"There are no disputes (between AP and Telangana). Only the media is seeking controversies. We are sorting out everything through discussions. Even in the case of Schedule 9 and 10 of the AP Reorganisation Act-2104, we are trying to address them through negotiations," the Governor, common for both the states, said.

On his part, the Chief Minister too said confrontation was good for none.

"We are ready to resolve all issues amicably. But there will be no compromise on the state's interests," Chandrababu said.

The Chief Minister said he discussed law and order, development and "all issues" with the Governor.

"Since I met him after some gap, we discussed all issues," he said.

Asked if he discussed about the possible expansion of the state Council of Ministers, Chandrababu said, "If there is anything, I will let you know first."

On Telangana government's request that buildings vacated by the AP government in the Secretariat at Hyderabad be handed over to it, the Chief Minister said they would discuss the issue and take a decision.
