New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh on Monday lashed out at Anna Hazare saying that the veteran Gandhian is overestimating the Jan Lokpal Bill.
Digvijaya said that corruption can only be removed by a comprehensive strategy by the Indian judiciary, the government, the police and bureaucracy together.
"Corruption can only be removed by a comprehensive strategy by the judiciary, the government, the police and bureaucracy together, so that it can be tackled on every level. Just passing a law won’t help anyone."
Digvijaya added that no one is opposing the Lokpal Bill and that the government will make sure a strong Lokpal is passed.
He also said that the Congress welcome Sri Sri Ravishankar's yatra on corruption.
"We welcome Sri Sri Ravishankar’s yatra. We will have to see that who all will be there with him and what is he going to say on corruption."
