Jaipur: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi was shocked over the daring terror strikes in Mumbai and said on Thursday that the attack was not on the metropolis but every Indian.
"This attack is not on Mumbai, but on every one here, it's an attack on every part of India, on every Indian," Gandhi said here during an election campaign tour.
"They think they can divide us, but this is not going to happen, they think they can scare us but this is also not going to happen, they think they can confine us to our homes but we will come out, fight and defeat them and bring progress to India," Gandhi said in an emotionally-charged statement.
He said he was told to avoid campaigning in Rajasthan as a respect to those killed in Mumbai, "but I realized the real respect for them would be by coming out."
"The terrorists don't have the understanding of India's strength. This country can't be divided, it can't be stopped, progress will come and this country will go ahead," Gandhi said.
