91. Barwara is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Shahdol (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Barwara falls in Katni district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 2,29,610 voters in the seat, which includes 1,18,113 male voters, and 1,11,492 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Barwara recorded a voter turnout of 74.37%. In 2013 the turnout was 77.76%, and in 2008 it was 65.6%.
In 2013, Moti Kashyap of BJP won the seat by a margin of 3,287 votes (2.21%). Moti Kashyap secured 41.9% of the total votes polled.
