Bill to terminate an MP's membership for disrupting House introduced in Lok Sabha
Nishikant Dubey (BJP) introduced a bill to ensure basic facilities like housing, food, medicine, water and security to widows and orphans.

New Delhi: A bill seeking termination of the membership of an MP for disrupting proceedings of the House was among the 32 private members' bills introduced in the Lok Sabha on Friday.

Some of the other bills introduced included those seeking to set up artisans welfare board, digital recording of judicial proceedings and compulsory harvesting of rain water.

The Lok Sabha, however, rejected a bill by Congress Member Shashi Tharoor which sought to amend Section 377 of the IPC to decriminalise homosexuality at the introduction stage itself.

Jayadev Galla (TDP) introduced a bill for disentitlement of daily allowance to members for disrupting the House and also "termination of membership of a member or a group of members who disrupt the proceedings of the House".

KR Solanki (BJP) introduced a bill to provide for welfare and rehabilitation of sex workers and their families. He introduced another bill for compulsory harvesting of rain water in every government, residential, commercial and institutional buildings.

Rajeev Satav (Congress) came up with a bill for digital recording of judicial proceedings in Supreme Courts so that it could be available to general public online.

Nishikant Dubey (BJP) introduced a bill to ensure basic facilities like housing, food, medicine, water and security to widows and orphans.

He also came up with the personal bankruptcy bill to enable a person to be declared bankrupt in case he is not able to pay off his debts.

Boora Narsaiah Goud (TRS) introduced a bill seeking to prohibit surrogate advertisements.
