New Delhi: Power Minister Veerappa Moily has questioned the credibility of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG) saying its findings could trigger policy paralysis.
"Today, we find a lot of credibility gap in that report, because it is far from reality. I think this report is without proper study and research. Perhaps, you know, they will be precipitating a policy paralysis in the government. I think they will be contributing to that," he said.
Facing the heat over the CAG report on the coal blocks allocation, the government on Wednesday hit back at the Opposition for running away from having a debate in Parliament over the issue.
The government, which has demanded a debate on the coal block allocation issue, said that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) knew that it won't stand a chance when it comes to a debate in the House.
