Congress Should Decide if They Really Want to Contest 2019 Election, Says UP CM Yogi Adityanath
Terming the win as “epic”, he said, “The new Congress president has proved to be lucky for BJP instead. Congress had questioned the development done by BJP in Gujarat and used inappropriate language for which they have got the reply in Gujarat and Himachal as well.”

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah on the party’s wins in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh elections.

Terming the win as “epic”, he said, “The new Congress president has proved to be lucky for BJP instead. Congress had questioned the development done by BJP in Gujarat and used inappropriate language for which they have got the reply in Gujarat and Himachal as well.”

Speaking further on the results of Gujarat and Himachal state assembly elections, Adityanath said the country has accepted economic reforms which the PM had taken for “the betterment of the country”.

“The PM has worked towards making the country an economic power. This win in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh has set the mood of the people for 2019 as well,” he said. He also claimed that BJP will win all 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP in 2019.

Attacking the Congress, he said it is time for the party to do some self-assessment and decide if really want to contest 2019 elections or not.

Praising BJP chief Amit Shah’s election strategy, the CM said the divisive politics played by the Congress party did not work and people rejected them. He also said that if the Congress had learned a lesson from its defeat in UP, they wouldn’t have played caste politics in Gujarat.

“Congress is working to divide the country by showing Janeu. Today the country and youth have defeated the Congress,” said CM Yogi.
