118. Gotegaon is a state Assembly/Vidhan Sabha constituency in the state of Madhya Pradesh and is part of Mandla (ST) Lok Sabha/Parliamentary constituency. Gotegaon falls in Narsingpur district and Mahakoshal region of Madhya Pradesh. It is categorised as a rural seat.
There are a total of 1,96,411 voters in the seat, which includes 1,02,548 male voters, and 93,862 female voters. In the 2018 Madhya Pradesh elections, Gotegaon recorded a voter turnout of 80.39%. In 2013 the turnout was 78.69%, and in 2008 it was 78.09%.
In 2013, Dr Kailash Jatav of BJP won the seat by a margin of 20,171 votes (13.98%). Dr Kailash Jatav secured 51.81% of the total votes polled.
INC won this seat in the 2008 Assembly elections with a margin of 22,320 votes (18.69%), registering 44.94% of the total votes polled.
In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP led in the Gotegaon Assembly segment of the Mandla (ST) Parliamentary/Lok Sabha constituency.
