New Delhi: DMK MP Kanimozhi on Tuesday expressed the hope that the deadlock between the party and the Congress on seat-sharing for the Tamil Nadu Assembly will be resolved soon.
Kanimozhi parried questions on what the bone of contention between the two parties in clinching the poll pact was.
"We have been allies for a very long time and I hope things will settle," she told reporters inside Parliament Complex here.
Asked when the deadlock is likely to be resolved, she said, "Let's wait and see what happens."
When asked whether the alliance will break, she said, "I cannot answer hypothetical questions."
Her comments came as DMK ministers M K Alagiri and Dayanidhi Maran renewed efforts to find a way out of the crisis over seat-sharing issue with Congress in Tamil Nadu by meeting Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee.
The two parties are deadlocked over on a deal over sharing of seats following DMK's decision on Saturday to pull out its ministers from the UPA government over Congress attitude.
