Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday interacted with the booth karyakartas of the Bhartiya Janta Party’s Kerala unit via the NaMo application. Focussing on spreading information about the schemes initiated by the Centre, the PM said that it can only be done through data and statistics.
He urged the karyakartas to visit each household and create a list of eligible beneficiaries, adding that coordination and team work is necessary for NDA party workers. PM Modi said that booth leaders should divide responsibilities among themselves and divide households to connect and inform them about the welfare schemes of the Centre.
Modi said that the struggles faced by BJP workers in Kerala and the eagerness shown by them were beyond compare and interacting with such “disciplined, sacrificing and hardworking” karyakartas “inspired and energised” him.
Thanking the karyakartas for their unwavering support, PM Modi said “Political experts in Delhi often attribute Modi’s election victories to his leadership, however, what they fail to recognize is that Modi owes his success to the countless karyakartas like you who are the real driving force behind his political power.”
“It is the unwavering dedication and hard work of the Karyakartas at the booth level that ensure Modi’s triumphs. Therefore, it is because of your tireless efforts that Modi is where he is today,” he added.
A woman booth level president from Chengannur in Mavelikara constituency told the PM that they were working hard at the ground level to ensure victory for the NDA candidate — Baiju Kalasala who belongs to the Bharath Dharma Jana Sena (BDJS) an ally of the BJP. As part of that, she and other workers were going house-to-house and telling women about the various Central projects — like Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY), Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Beti Bachao Beti Padhao — meant for their benefit and they are happy to know about the same, the party worker said.
During his interaction, PM Modi also asked the party workers to make people aware of the political reality in the state. “They need to understand that the LDF and UDF, which are often seen as opposing parties, actually have similar agendas.” He claimed that both parties are working towards defeating the Modi government at the national level.
Taking potshot at the INDI Alliance, PM Modi said that the group is made to conceal each other’s corrupt activities. Without taking any party’s name, PM mentioned about the issue of gold smuggling and, the Karuvannur Service Cooperative Bank scam.
“The Karuvannur Service Cooperative Bank scam involves tall leaders of the Communists who have been implicated in it. This scam has resulted in the looting of money belonging to the poor.” said PM Modi.
Urging the party workers to continue to build momentum in favour of the NDA in Kerala, PM Modi said, “ensure that a maximum number of people vote for our candidate on the day of the election.” Promising the people of the state that criminals will not be spared, he said that they will take strict action against them and ensure that justice is served.
