Narendra Modi backs Arun Jaitley in DDCA row, says he has done no wrong: Sources
According to sources, the BJP is likely to issue showcause notice to party Azad for his all-out attack on Jaitley.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley who is embroiled in the controversy over alleged irregularities in the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) seems to have got some support from Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

According to sources, in Bharatiya Janata Party's Parliamentary meeting held on Tuesday morning, Modi said that Jaitley had nothing wrong and would come out clean in the same manner in which LK Advani came out unscathed in the Hawala case.

While the PM along with several senior leaders attended the meeting, rebel MP Kirti Azad skipped it. However, he claimed that missing the meeting was not a big deal. "This is not for the first time that I have not been able to attend the Parliamentary party meet. I had some prior engagements and compulsions that had kept me occupied. I am not boycotting the meeting. Will be attending Parliament session," Azad said.

According to sources, the BJP is likely to issue showcause notice to party Azad for his all-out attack on Jaitley. Although the action will be taken after the Winter Session of Parliament ends on Wednesday.

In an explosive tweet on Monday night, Azad allegedly tweeted that he is not afraid by anyone and called Jaitley a 'napunsak'. However, he later tweeting claiming that his Twitter account was hacked and it was not his post. "My A/C is hacked. Statement on @arunjaitley as napunsak is not my tweet," he said.

Party leaders though termed it as a mere excuse. "Twitter account being hacked is an excuse," BJP leader Siddhartha Nath Singh said.

Meanwhile, Azad has said that he will be filing a complaint with Twitter over his claims that his Twitter handle was hacked and tweets were posted in his name.
