No 'love' lost between Venkaiah Naidu and KC Tyagi in Rajya Sabha

New Delhi: Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu and Rajya MP KC Tyagi on Wednesday shared some lighter moments in Rajya Sabha amid a reference to parting of ways by Bharatiya Janata Party and Janata Dal United in 2013.

The two parties have separated breaking their 17-year-old relationship then as Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had opposed to the elevation of Narendra Modi within the BJP, who later became its prime ministerial candidate and finally Prime Minister when NDA came to power.

While moving the Real Estate (Amendment) Bill in Rajya Sabha, Naidu countered the charge by some Opposition members that he was bringing the amendments in a haste.

"I do not want to do anything in haste Tyagi ji," Naidu said.

The JDU member said that he was not saying anything.

Naidu retorted telling him "you do not say anything but look at me in a way. See Sharad ji. How happy he is and how does he speak."

At this Tyagi said with a grin, "Sir honourable minister has mentioned my name. I look at him with great love. There was no abuse and clash even when we had divorced each other.

"There was no allegation of cruelty as well and the period of Iddat (a period a woman must observe after a divorce, during which she may not marry another man), which was there is also not yet over. So it is not that I look at you with any bad view," Tyagi said.

What's your reaction?
