New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has refuted reports that the organisation is linked to terror incidents in the country.
RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav denied that any member of the organisation has been involved in any terror activity. He says senior leader Ashok Varshney has cooperated with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on allegations and the RSS is extending full cooperation to the agency.
"There is no such thing as Hindu terror and no RSS cadre is involved. There is no allegation against Ashok Varshney. He has cooperated with the CBI. There were some charges against some RSS workers and agencies wanted information. We are extending full cooperation. If there is any attempt to malign RSS, we will take a serious note of it. RSS is not worried about these developments," said Madhav.
The denial comes as the Sangh is being linked to a number of blast cases, including the Ajmer, Malegaon and Mecca Masjid blast of Hyderabad.
