The gloves are off in the battle between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress. After Congress launched a tirade against the Narendra Modi government over the imposition of President’s Rule in Uttarakhand, BJP raised AgustaWestland chopper scam and Ishrat Jahan case in Parliament on Wednesday.
The BJP is gunning for the top Congress leadership after party president Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister Manmohan Singh’s names were taken in an Italian court verdict in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper deal case. The BJP has fielded newly sworn in Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy to take on the Congress President.
With no business transacting in Parliament for the first two days of the second phase of Budget session, the session is likely to be a washout as parties target each other.
