Police have registered a case of murder and are trying to apprehend the alleged culprits.
A Samajwadi Party MLA's brothers allegedly shot at and killed a man for overtaking his vehicle in Uttar Pradesh's Balrampur. The MLA Jagram Paswan represents Balrampur Sadar in Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
His brothers Annu Paswan and Sadhu Paswan fled from the spot after shooting at the man. The incident took place while the victim identified as Jairam Yadav was returning after attending a marriage at Tariyapurwa village under the Dhanepur police station of Balrampur.

Samajwadi Party is in power in the state which will elect a new Assembly in 2017.
