'Under A Goon's Pressure, They're Questioning My Character': Swati Maliwal Hits Back At AAP For 'U-Turn'
While addressing a press conference on Friday, AAP leader Atishi said that in the video from May 13 that has emerged today, it can be seen that Maliwal’s clothes are not torn, there are no injuries on her head

AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Friday slammed the party for “questioning her character to save a goon”. The former DCW head, in an X post, wrote, “Two days ago the party had accepted the truth in the PC and today it has taken a U-turn. This goon is threatening the party, if I get arrested I will reveal all the secrets. That is why he is roaming around in Lucknow and everywhere seeking shelter. Today, under his pressure, the party gave in and to save a goon, my character was questioned by the entire party.”

Maliwal stressed that she has been fighting for the women of the entire country alone and will fight for herself also.

“No problem, I have been fighting alone for the women of the entire country, I will fight for myself too. Do character assassination as much as possible, the truth will come out when the time comes!” she added.

Swati Maliwal’s statement comes after AAP leader and Delhi Minister Atishi, in a press conference earlier in the day, called the allegations made by Maliwal baseless.

Atishi said that in the video from May 13 that has emerged today, it can be seen that Maliwal’s clothes are not torn, there are no injuries on her head.

The Delhi Minister further stated that ever since Delhi CM Kejriwal was granted bail, the BJP has been ‘rattled’.

“Swati Maliwal was the face and pawn of this conspiracy. They intended to accuse the CM, but the CM was not there at that time so he was saved. After that, Swati Maliwal accused Bibhav Kumar,” she told the media at the briefing.

Atishi further alleged that it was the BJP who sent Maliwal to Kejriwal’s residence on the morning of May 13.

Atishi said, “In her (Maliwal) complaint to the police, she said she was assaulted. The video which has come out today shows her sitting comfortably in the drawing room (of the CM house) and threatening the police officials. She was also seen threatening Bibhav Kumar in the video. Neither her clothes were not torn nor any injury on her head can be seen in the video.”
