UP polls: Mulayam banks on youth power
The youth power had always been the strength of the party, said Mulayam Singh.

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav on Saturday set a target before party's youth activists to ensure the victory of at least 250 SP candidates in coming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls.

The youth power had always been the strength of the party and the SP would form next government in the state with their help, he told office-bearers of party's youth wing in Lucknow.

The SP leader exhorted them to take a resolve to work tirelessly for ensuring the victory of 250 party candidates in next year's assembly polls in the state.

"People are disenchanted with the BSP-led Mayawati government. What is required is to make them realise that it is the Samajwadi Party which is strong enough to form the next government in the state," Yadav said.

UP SP head Akhilesh Yadav said policies of Congress and other parties had only aggravated unemployment problem.

Attacking Mayawati, he said "the state government has wasted nearly Rupees 40 thousand crore on installing statues and memorials in the state."
