Vyapam scam: Congress leader gets bail in defamation suit by Chouhan
The CM had filed a case against Mishra after he accused him of involvement in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam.

Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Congress spokesperson KK Mishra was on Monday granted bail in a defamation suit filed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

The CM had filed a case against Mishra after he accused him of involvement in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board scam better known as the Vyapam scam. Mishra had alleged that as many as 19 transport constables were selected through Vyapam exam from Gondia, the native place of CM's wife Sadhna Singh.

The Congress leader had also demanded a CBI probe to unearth the "nexus among middlemen, politicians, bureaucrats and education mafia which is behind the scam."

He claimed he was in possession of some SMSes which were purportedly sent by various people, including politicians and even some journalists among others, to the MPPEB exam controller Pankaj Trivedi and the system analyst Nitin Mahindra--both the main accused in the case--and mining baron Sudhir Sharma.
