SuperGaming To Bring Made-In-India 'Indus' Battle Royale Inside Fortnite: Here's How
Through this collaboration, players will be able to get an idea of how Indus’ gameplay works, the maps, and weapons—all inside Fortnite’s creator mode.

Indus, the upcoming made-in-India battle royale by Pune-based developer SuperGaming, will soon be available to play as part of Fortnite, Epic Games’ hugely successful battle royale game.

During this integration, players will be able to get an idea of how Indus’ gameplay works, the maps, and weapons—all inside Fortnite’s creator mode. This collaboration is expected to help Indus grab eyeballs ahead of its launch. And, thanks to Fortnite being a battle royale as well, the play styles and gameplay are also similarly aligned.

“This will allow us to test Indus’ gameplay with external audiences faster and give more gamers a chance to experience Indo-Futurism through their game of choice—Fortnite,” said Christelle D’cruz, SuperGaming co-founder.

For those unfamiliar, Indus is currently under development and features an ‘Indo-futuristic’ world. In News18’s conversation with Roby John, founder, and CEO of SuperGaming, he revealed that the game’s inspiration is the Indus Valley civilization—one of the oldest civilizations in the world.

The game’s world represents how India’s rich history and culture could be portrayed in the future. He compared the game to Wakanda from Black Panther; where Wakanda takes inspiration from Africa, yet it is a futuristic rendition of the same.

How Was Indus Battle Royale Integrated into Fortnite?

Firstly, this whole experience is powered by Epic Games’ Unreal Editor for Fortnite and was created by a two-woman team in a span of just about 27 days. A release date for the same experience is expected to be revealed shortly.

“At SuperGaming we firmly believe that India’s culture and talent demands the biggest possible stage for the world to see and play in,” said Roby John. He added, “With Fortnite having an estimated 220 million monthly players globally, there’s no better way to bring Indus and Indo-Futurism to the world.”

Indus was announced to be released as a closed beta during the Indian festival season in August, but a release date has not yet been announced.
