Actor Komal Kumar Shooting For His First Tamil Film In Rameshwaram?

Sandalwood actor Komal Kumar is all set to make his debut in Tamil cinema. According to reports, he is currently in Rameshwaram for the shooting of his upcoming Tamil movie. He shared a short clip from the set, which is currently garnering everyone’s attention. In the video, he is seen sitting under a tent in a chair. He is wearing a brown shirt and a black and white lungi. Komal Kumar is seen drinking some sort of juice or water from a palm leaf. A villager from the area is seen pouring the local drink of Rameshwaram into the leaf. The clip shows how Komal Kumar is shooting in the scorching sun. Sharing the clip on his official Instagram handle, the actor wrote, “While shooting in Rameshwaram for the Tamil movie in scorching heat, the villagers gave me this, such a sweet and memorable gesture”. He did not reveal any further details.

Seeing the clip, one of the users commented, “Your energy,” and another one wrote, “Superb and so down to earth.” While many showered heart emojis.

A few days back, Komal Kumar dropped another video from the shooting set as he shared screen space with popular actor Prabhu Ganesan, who is widely known as Prabhu. He was one of the leading actors in Tamil cinema in the late 1980s and 1990s and is the son of veteran actor Sivaji Ganesan.

In the clip, Komal Kumar and Prabhu are seen taking pictures with each other, while a spot boy is seen holding a fan and umbrella for Prabhu. In the background, the workers are seen setting up the set for the next shot. Sharing the video, Komal wrote, “So happy to work with Prabhu sir on my first Tamil venture.”

Komal Kumar, since his debut, has acted in over 100 films, initially in comedic roles as a supporting actor before playing lead roles. Komal has won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as a supporting actor in the 2003 film Thavarige Baa Thangi. He has also won the South Filmfare Award for his performance in Neenello Naanalle in 2006.

He was last seen in the Kannada-language horror comedy film Namo Bhoothathma 2. The film is written and directed by choreographer V Murali and stars Komal, Lekha Chandra, and Govinde Gowda in the lead roles. The movie is a sequel to the 2014 film Namo Bhootatma.
