Thalapathy Vijay’s recent film Leo got a great response from audiences and critics alike. It was a success at the box office and is now streaming on Netflix. After Leo’s success, Thalapathy Vijay is all set to appear in Thalapathy 68, directed by Venkat Prabhu, which is in its filming process as of now. Recently, some unconfirmed reports about the title of the movie were doing the rounds. There were reports that the movie would be titled either Boss or Puzzle. It is unknown where these rumours surfaced but they have been refuted by none other than the producer of the film Archana Kalpathi. She posted on X (formerly Twitter) about the confusion regarding the title. She asked fans to wait patiently for the title reveal. “Just saw all the updates. Thank you for the love. Keep calm and wait for the real one very soon. It is definitely not Boss or Puzzle. Happy Morning everyone (sic).”

Recently, sources revealed some interesting facts about the film. Apparently, Thalapathy 68 is going to be a science fiction movie based around time travel. This is the reason Thalapathy Vijay will appear in a different look in the film, as he supposedly travels through time. Reportedly, advanced AI technology is being used to make Vijay appear younger. For this process, Vijay recently visited the US to get his face scanned for the de-aging procedure and returned to Chennai a while back to start shooting. The filming process began with a song.
Produced by AGS, the film also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Jayaram, Mohan Yogi Babu, Premji, and Sneha.
It is noteworthy that Thalapathy 68 will be Venkat Prabhu’s second film revolving around the concept of time travel. His 2021-film Maanaadu, starring Simbu had the protagonist stuck in a time loop and living the same day over and over again. This year, Tamil cinema had another science fiction film based on time travel. Mark Antony, starring Vishal and SJ Suryah, featured a mobile phone that could let the user travel across time.
