Kannada actor Jaggesh showcased his exceptional acting prowess in films like Guru, Neer Dose and Melkote Manja. He and his wife Parimala Jaggesh are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary today. On this joyous occasion, Jaggesh uploaded a video on Instagram showing some endearing clips from their wedding. The video also shows their photos with children. Jaggesh and Parimala got married on March 22, 1984. The 61-year-old actor added a song to the video that perfectly complements well with their wedding anniversary.
Jaggesh’s fans congratulated them on their happy journey and wished them many more years of happiness.
Jaggesh and Parimala’s journey to tie the knot, however, was riddled with difficulties. The latter talked about it in an interview with a media portal. She said that Jaggesh took her to Chennai when she was 17 and this led to her parents filing a kidnap case against him and a habeas corpus in the Bangalore court. Parimala remembered pleading before the Bangalore High Court judge to let her stay with her husband. As per Parimala, “I told him that the only reason my parents opposed this marriage was because he was a Kannadiga and I was a Tamilian. There was a culture and caste difference. But we loved each other and language was not a barrier. Thankfully, the judge considered my words and granted us permission to stay together.” The couple had to fight the case in the Chennai Court and the Supreme Court as well and they finally got permission to be with each other.
Jaggesh ticks all the boxes correctly when it comes to his professional life as well. He last acted in the film Ranganayaka. Written and directed by Guruprasad, this film was released at the cinemas on March 8, 2024. Vikhyath Chitra Productions backed this film. Ranganayaka received poor reviews from audiences. They mentioned that apart from Jaggesh’s acting, there is nothing worth noting in the film. Yograj Bhat, Rachitha Mahalakshmi, and others have also acted in this film.
