Mahesh Babu's Guntur Kaaram Trailer Creates Rare Record, Surpasses Prabhas' Salaar

Mahesh Babu is returning to the big screen after the 2022 film Sarkaru Vaari Paata through Trivikram Srinivas’s film Guntur Kaaram. The trailer for Guntur Kaaram was ultimately unveiled by the film’s makers two days after the scheduled date. Since fans of the actor have been dying to see him on celluloid since 2022, the Sunday-released trailer garnered a lot of attention. Guntur Kaaram’s trailer has now created a new record in the wake of the mass hysteria around the film.

It has become the most viewed trailer in South India in the first 24 hours. According to the makers, the trailer has surpassed 39 million views on YouTube and is trending at No. 1 on the platform. With this, the movie surpasses Prabhas’ most recent theatrical release, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire. In the first twenty-four hours, Salaar’s trailer had received about 32 million views, 7 million less than that of Guntur Kaaram.

Mahesh Babu is in peak form, delivering massive language and packing some punches with elegance as Ramana Reddy, as seen in the trailer. The poignant moments in Guntur Kaaram’s trailer highlight Ramana’s bond with his family. Aside from this, the “highly inflammable” trailer promises high-octane action sequences.

Over 83.83 lakh tickets were sold for the film in 268 locations throughout India when the bookings were opened. According to the cinema trade web Sacnilk, Bengaluru, Chennai, Mysuru, Mangaluru, and Shivamogga were the leading contributors to the movie’s bookings on its first day.

There are now 107 Bengaluru showings of the movie registered on online booking services. Of these, around 16.82 per cent or 18 shows are full, as per media reports. These figures are remarkable considering that only the Telugu version of the movie is open for booking.

The duration of the movie is said to be 2 hours, 44 minutes. Netflix has bought the OTT rights to the movie and according to reports, Guntur Kaaram will be available for streaming after 60 days of its theatrical release. The movie releases on January 12.
