In the interview, Parvathy expressed her views on superstardom and how she doesn’t support it.

Parvathy Thiruvothu sparked controversy after she spoke about the significance of superstars in the country. In an interview with RedFM, the actress said, “Superstardom gives nothing to anyone. It’s just a waste of time. I can’t understand what being a superstar is. I don’t know if anyone has ever benefited from it. I don’t know if a superstar is an image, someone’s influence, or a name given by people who go crazy with fandom. Being a super actor makes me happy.”

She lauded fellow actors Fahadh Faasil, Asif Ali, and Rima Kalinga and called them worthy of being called super actors. She added that this was because of their versatility and talent that they have been able to achieve everything in their lives.

Parvathy also justified her aversion towards a superstar and what exactly is the difference between a superstar and an actor. She added that some actors have huge fans, and they shine as leading stars. Their films are sometimes even referred to by their names. These are actors and heroes. She further added that some films, no matter how trashy they are, get a certain amount of money and become successful. These people are stars in the industry.
