Mahesh Babu’s highly anticipated film, Guntur Kaaram, has finally hit theatres on January 12, 2024. The expectations are soaring high for the film’s box-office performance, and predictions have started flooding the internet. Mahesh Babu’s Sankranthi gift to his fans could potentially become one of the first major releases of the year. The film has reportedly witnessed substantial bookings in the Telugu states, and according to recent reports, it is expected to do business in the range of Rs 80 crore to Rs 90 crore on its premiere day.

On a global scale, the makers have set a record by releasing the film on a staggering 5408 screens in the US, making it the film with the highest number of shows for an Indian film in the country. The makers are now eagerly anticipating the film’s performance in the coming days.

In Telangana, the pricing for single screens has been set at Rs 175, with a Rs 65 increase, while for multiplexes, the price is fixed at Rs 295, with a Rs 100 hike.

The latest reports indicate that the streaming rights of the film have been acquired by Netflix, signalling an imminent OTT debut on the platform. Meanwhile, the satellite rights have been secured by Gemini TV.

Under the direction of Trivikram Srinivas, the film was released on January 12, coinciding with the festival of Sankranthi. The star-studded cast includes Mahesh Babu, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ramya Krishna, Jayaram, Prakash Raj, and Jagapathi Babu. S Radha Krishna has produced the film under the banner of Haarika and Hassine Creations. Thaman has composed the music, while the cinematography is handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and PS Vinod, and Naveen Nooli has managed the editing. The film is reported to have been made with a budget of Rs 200 crore.

The lead actor Mahesh Babu and director Trivikram Srinivas have previously collaborated on successful films such as Athadu and Khaleja.
