Varun Tej's Operation Valentine Makes Digital Debut On Amazon Prime

Varun Tej’s latest film, Operation Valentine, faced a tepid response upon its theatrical release earlier this month. However, the movie has now made its digital streaming debut on Amazon Prime Video, as per the latest reports.

Operation Valentine hit the big screens on March 1, with much anticipation from the audience. Unfortunately, it failed to leave a lasting impression at the box office. Now, the film has transitioned to the digital realm, becoming available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video from March 22. Audiences can enjoy the movie in both Tamil and Telugu languages on the platform.

Amazon Prime Video took to their official Twitter account to announce the digital release of the film. They shared a striking image of the lead actor Varun Tej and tweeted, “They risked it all to honour the fallen, witness the operation come alive! #OperationValentineOnPrime, watch now.”

Dubbed as an action thriller, Operation Valentine draws inspiration from the events surrounding the Pulwama terrorist attack and the subsequent Indian Air Force response in 2019. Directed by debutant filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, the film marks Varun Tej’s debut in Bollywood, with Manushi Chhillar making her foray into Telugu cinema. The ensemble cast includes Navdeep, Paresh Pahuja, Ruhani Sharma and Mir Sarwar, among others. Produced by Sandeep Mudda under the banners of Sony Pictures and Renaissance Pictures, the film features music by Mickey J Meyer, cinematography by Hari K Vedantam and editing by Naveen Nooli. The screenplay is credited to Shakti Pratap Singh Hada, Aamir Nahid Khan and Siddharth Rajkumar.

In a pre-release interview, Varun Tej discussed his preparations for the film, including learning Hindi for his Bollywood debut. He expressed excitement about working on a bilingual project for the first time and showed how portraying an Indian Air Force pilot allowed him to push his boundaries as an actor.
