Veteran Comedy Actor Senthil's Family Pic From A Wedding Viral

Senthil is a well-known comedy actor in the Tamil film industry. He is particularly known for his work with another comedian, Goundamani. Together, they were the leading comedy duo in Tamil films in the 1980s and 90s.

Recently, Senthil attended a wedding along with his family. The photos are going viral on social media. In the photos, Senthil was seen wearing a white shirt and cap along with the groom and bride. He has two sons, Dr Manikanda Prabhu and Hemachandra Prabhu and two granddaughters, born in 2008 and 2014, who were seen at the wedding.

Senthil’s eldest son, Manikanda Prabhu, is a dentist. He owns a hospital in Saligram, which is named after one of his relatives. Meanwhile, Manikanda Prabhu made his acting debut in the action thriller Thadai Udai, which also marked the first directorial venture of NS Rakesh.

Senthil was born in a small village called Ilanjambore near Mudukulathur in the Ramanathapuram district of Tamil Nadu. Senthil married Kalaiselvi on 14 May 1984. At the age of 13, he left his village due to his father’s scolding. Initially, he worked in an oil market, later as a waiter in a private wine shop and finally found his way into drama where he started developing his skills.

He started his acting career in 1979 with the film Oru Koyil Iru Dheepangal but his official first film was Ithikkara Pakki released in 1980. He started with minor roles in the Tamil film industry and eventually landed a significant role in Malaiyoor Mambattiyan. He has been part of many hit films alongside famous actors and comedians in South Indian cinema. Senthil is known for working with Goundamani in a comedic duo, often compared to Laurel and Hardy of Tamil Cinema for their slapstick humour. In 2019, he made his debut in Tamil TV serials and made his debut in Rasathi on Sun TV.

On the political front, Senthil who first supported the AIADMK political party, is now working with the AMMK party. In 2017, TTV Dhinakaran of AIADMK appointed Senthil as the organising secretary, a position previously held by former minister Gokula Indira.
