Sony is back with a new Xperia smartphone in India. The new series is not a follow up of the old Xperia Z series but a new flagship phone called the Sony Xperia X.
We get you all you need to know about this new flagship phone that competes with the likes of Samsung Galaxy S7, LG G5 and HTC 10.
Priced at Rs 46,990 the new Xperia X comes with a 1.8 GHz Hexa-Core Snapdragon 650 64-Bit Processor that's backed by 3GB RAM. You also get 32GB of on-board storage with the phone. The processor on-board is known for performance and runs smoothly with this Android Marshmallow powered phone.
The new flagship Sony Xperia sports a 5-inch full HD Triluminos display with 1920x1080 pixel resolution.
Sony is known for making camera sensors for a lot of smartphone companies. And that's one of the reason that they can play the megapixel game better than anyone else. The New Xperia X comes with a 23 megapixel rear camera and for selfie lovers there is a 13 megapixel Exmor RS front camera at your disposal. But you can't shoot 4K videos on this one.
For connectivity and security the Sony Xperia X comes with 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth and a fingerprint sensor.
On board the Sony Xperia X is a 2630 MAh battery. It is a bit of a disapointment as there are phones these days that come with a 3000 mAh battery as a standard.
At Rs 46,990 the Sony Xperia X is not an affordable phone at all. And if you shell a little extra there are phones like Samsung Galaxy S7 and the HTC 10 for the picking. Sony has priced the Xperia X smartly but will the consumers bite this? That only time will tell.
Watch this space for the review of the Sony Xperia X.
