Apple WWDC 2018 Day 1 Roundup: iOS 12 With Memoji, Group FaceTime, WatchOS 5, macOS Mojave And More
Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference for this year has begun and Apple has made some major announcements on its first day.

Apple rounded off the opening day of the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2018 with a heartwarming Thank you note and a video dedicated to all the developers working for the platforms owned by the company. But before that, Apple introduced some major upgrades to almost all its platforms, starting with the much-anticipated iOS 12. The new iOS 12 comes with improved AR experiences, like Memoji, ‘Measure’ app, multi-user AR experiences, Siri Suggestions and a lot more. The iOS 12 even brings along Grou FaceTime to enable group video calling for as many as 32 Apple device users simultaneously.

Following this, Apple introduced several upgrades to its WatchOS, including a new app ‘Walkie Talkie’. The WatchOS now also gets new Interactive Notifications, Web Content as well as third-party app integration. In addition to the app, Apple brought Dolby ATMOS surround sound to its Apple 4K TV and ensured an ongoing partnership with major content providers across the globe for more content to its users.

Towards the end, Apple unveiled its brand-new macOS as the macOS Mojave, which promises features like Dynamic Desktop, Dark Mode, new and improved Finder and a much enhanced ‘Screenshots’ which now lets users record videos on the screen. The new macOS also carries Security Updates and introduces iOS apps like Apple News, Stocks, Voice Memos as well as Home.
