In a recent episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Tejas Sharadkumar Deshmukh from Thane, Maharashtra, was in the hot seat. As she shared her story, she revealed that she was looking for a groom, leaving Amitabh Bachchan impressed. He remarked that while many male contestants on the show have spoken about seeking a life partner, this was the first time a female contestant openly expressed her desire for marriage. Then, in his inimitable witty style, Amitabh Bachchan said that the show might soon be rebranded as ‘Matrimonial Column.’
Later in the episode, Tejas made a special request to Amitabh Bachchan, asking if she could share her matrimonial profile with him for his advice. As they delved into her profile, she highlighted one essential quality she sought in a groom — chivalry. Tejas said that her desire for this trait was inspired by years of watching the actor exemplify kindness, from offering tissues to contestants to providing them with water and encouragement.
Amitabh Bachchan then jokingly invited viewers to send their profiles to Tejas if they were interested in her. But the fun didn’t stop there — Tejas also asked Amitabh Bachchan to take a selfie with her, believing it would improve her profile and attract more potential suitors. With a warm smile, the actor readily agreed!
Along with a selfie, he shot a clip saying, “Joh log bhi ye video dekh rahe hain main bata doon ye ek saathi dhoondh rahi hain, bahut acchi hain ye humare saath KBC ka khel khel rahi thi ye.. aur ye thodi si naati hain par theek hai, jiski biwi naati uska bhi bada naam hai. (Whoever is watching the video, I am saying that this girl is looking for a partner. She is very nice and is playing Kaun Banega Crorepati with me. Although she is a little short, that does not matter).”
Tejas eventually took home an amount of Rs 1.60 lakh.
