Television actor Rohan Mehra, who rose to fame with his stint in Star Plus’ Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, started his acting journey a decade back. After his remarkable performance in the show, he has been away from the lights-camera-action world for quite some time. However, the actor directed and acted in a music video opposite Riya Sharma. Now, the Bigg Boss fame recently spoke to a media outlet and opened up about the struggles of being an actor and how he starts afresh after every project.
In a conversation with The Times Of India, Rohan Mehra talked about the struggles related to acting. “Due to the delay in release, it makes the waiting period tough for me or any other actor. I have shot for a few more projects, but they are not released yet,” he said.
On being asked if he finds the waiting period difficult. The actor responded, “I haven’t faced issues sustaining myself as an actor because I have been working for the past 15 years. I keep acting in multiple mediums and projects, which keep me busy. I am very patient, and when there is time, I do workshops that help me improve my skills and work on myself.”
Elaborating further, Rohan added that finding work after every project gets over is like starting afresh. “We have to go out, audition, and meet the casting people and the directors, which further helps us connect for the right projects. So it is something we all have to do and keep doing. Acting is a difficult profession, but we have to keep going,” he mentioned.
The actor went on to say that he saw fame when he did Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai and Bigg Boss. “I was popular amongst youth and then came a dull period, so I have seen all of that through my journey, and I learnt that the key to success is to keep working patiently,” Rohan exclaimed.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai remains one of the most popular television serials on Indian television. In the show, Rohan played the role of Naksh Singhania between 2015 and 2016. His character was pivotal to the show because he was the son of the lead characters of the show, Akshara and Naitik Singhania.
Talking about his journey in Bigg Boss 10, the chocolate boy of BB house, Rohan Mehra, got evicted as a result of the mid-week eviction just four days before the grand finale. Bigg Boss 10 boasted a star-studded contestant list. It included Priyanka Jagga, Manveer Gurjar, Gaurav Chopra, Rohan Mehra, Bani J, Rahul Dev and Karan Mehra, among others. Leaving all the contestants behind, Manveer Gurjar emerged as the winner, with Bani J as the runner-up.
