CEO Reveals His 'Most Successful Hire' Had No Experience Or Resume
Detailing her achievements and unique approach, the CEO informed that the woman made a video call to explain why she should be hired.

While many companies prioritize candidates with impressive resumes and extensive experience, this one CEO holds a different view. Tasleem Ahmad Fateh, founder of a ghostwriting agency, challenged this conventional belief by hiring an individual with no prior experience and who didn’t even submit a resume. In fact, he described this hire as his “most successful," selected from over 800 applicants. Sharing his story on LinkedIn, Tasleem wrote, “My most successful hire had ZERO ‘experience.’ In pure Gen-Z fashion, she didn’t even submit a resume. Instead, she did something a lot better."

Detailing her achievements and unique approach, Tasleem said that the woman made a video application to explain why she should be hired. “Fast-forward six months: She is now an equity partner with me. She now runs all my agency operations. She got our clients 30 million views last month (that’s a million agency views per day)," he elaborated further.

Reaching out to other hiring managers, Tasleem emphasised how they should give everyone an equal chance and not just look for people with the best resume. “I’ve always said that 99% of all jobs can be taught. Laiba is living proof of this. Your best hire won’t be the person with the shiniest resume. It’ll be the person who is willing to learn. Give people a chance," he concluded.

His post reached out to a lot of people who lauded his initiative and perspective. One wrote, “No doubt, a great manager who is open-minded and willing to teach knows gold, even if it’s inside a rock. The hunger to grow, learn, and improve should be a must when hiring," while another added, “This is what happens when you give people a chance."

“Our youth has a lot of potential. They just need guidance and determination. AGREE," a comment read.

Some shared their own experiences like, “This reminds me of my own job application experience. Instead of submitting my resume, I uploaded an audit report of their website! Didn’t get the job, just a polite thank-you email. But honestly, I loved it" and “And THIS is why you hire for character The ones who are willing to put in the work are the best! I didn’t even have a resume or know anything about social media marketing when I got hired. But here I am today!"

The post has garnered more than 4,000 likes along with several supportive comments.
