How Parents' Attempt To Curb Their Daughter's Screen Time Went Hilariously Wrong
"They got her a dog, thinking it would help her give up the internet. Now both are addicted," read the caption.

Today, kids are often seen glued to iPads and the internet, sparking worries among parents. Playing games, watching videos and scrolling through social media can be fun, but too much screen time at such an early age can cause problems. It can mess with sleep, make kids less active and even affect their attention span. According to Happinetz, a leading parental control filter box, 42 per cent of children under 12 spend an average of two to four hours daily on screen time. Recently, some parents’ well-intentioned plan to help their little girl give up her internet addiction backfired in an “adorable” way.

The parents got the girl a dog, thinking that she would play with him and not her iPad. However, things took a turn when both the dog and the young girl began sharing their screen time. A video that shows a young girl and her pet dog lying on the floor and watching something on an iPad together is amusing internet. The caption of this video read, “They got her a dog, thinking it would help her give up the internet. Now both are addicted.”

This video has over 1 million views since it was shared on May 3. A user commented on the clip, “Lol… looks like the dog just found a new best fren… with endless pawsome content…!”

An X user commented, “Introducing a pet into someone’s life with the hope of helping them reduce their internet usage is a well-intentioned idea, but it’s essential to recognize that addressing internet addiction often requires more comprehensive strategies and support.”

A concerned user wrote, “Please give the children a real childhood experience without too much screens. If they don’t learn to enjoy real life as children, will they ever?”

An X user observed, “On a serious note, most dogs can focus on a screen like this because my dog wouldn’t even bat an eye on the screen.”

Sharing a similar suggestion, another person wrote, “I’d just take the tab , she’d be okay after a few tantrums lol.”

An X user shared that their kid is also addicted to phones and wrote, “This is like my child Mya. But she has a kitten now. I’ve tried a fish, and different new toys lol but my baby is gonna ask for a phone or tablet or remote and go right to kids YouTube. It used to concern me, now not so much.”

What do you think should be the solution to cut kid’s screen time?

What's your reaction?
