Man Wears Apple Vision Pro To Wedding, Bride's Reaction Is Priceless
Apple had released its $3,500 (Rs 2.8 lakh) Vision Pro headset in February.

Apple Vision Pro has taken the world by storm since its debut last month, igniting a global buzz that has sparked viral photos and videos capturing people donning the revolutionary eyewear in unexpected places: behind the wheel, navigating busy streets, and beyond. Making waves across the internet is a wedding snapshot featuring a groom sporting the Apple Vision Pro on his big day, but his bride’s reaction? Let’s just say it’s more puzzling than impressive!

Jacob Wright, a software engineer at artificial intelligence startup Runpod, added a tech twist to his wedding in Utah on February 10. No, he didn’t wear his headset for the ceremony, but as reported by SFGate, he did don it for some post-ceremony photos and even hit the dance floor with it during the reception.

Jacob shared the viral picture on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) with a simple caption, “Just married.” In the photo, Jacob wears the headset, seemingly interacting with something only he can see, while his bride, Cambree Wright, looks slightly surprised.

While Jacob faced criticism for wearing the device, others found it to be a clever idea.

“Congratulations! You and the Apple Vision seem to make a great couple,” a commenter remarked.

“Thank you, Sir,” Jacob replied.

“It’s actually so sick that you’ll have spatial videos from your wedding,” another comment read.

“100% agree,” Jacob agreed. “Will be able to show them to my kids on their hologram devices in 10 years.”

Reshared by the handle ‘Dexerto’, the picture has garnered over 25 million views on social media.

Wright mentioned to SFGate that experimenting with new gadgets is his hobby, and he got the headset shortly after Apple launched it. In an interview with Futurism, he explained that he always carries the Vision Pro in his backpack. So, during the bridal party’s photo session, he ran to his car to grab it.

“I kept saying, ‘No, no, no, we need to wait,'” Cambree, a student at Brigham Young University told SFGate. “And then I turn around for a minute, and there he is, wearing it.”

Cambree also clarified in an interview with Futurism that she wasn’t actually angry despite looking upset in one of the pictures. “I wasn’t really mad,” she explained. “I just found it amusing.”

In February 2024, Apple launched its Vision Pro headset in the US, priced at $3,500 (Rs 2.8 lakh).
