Two Lucknow-based makeup artists have painted their SUVs pink and shared a video of driving around the city on social media. Sarah Khan and Apeksha Gurnani are hitting headlines with their ‘bold’ colour choices for their high-end SUVs. In the now-viral video, the duo introduces claims that when their vehicles — a Thar and a Scorpio — pass through any neighbourhood, they leave locals startled.
People turn their heads to see their cars pass by while some click pictures, they said. In the video, Khan and Gurnani flaunt their cars and claim: “Men seem to be hating it but unka validation maang hi kaun raha hai (who wants validation from men)?”
Meanwhile, the caption of the Instagram reel reads – “Feel free to comment “Kardashians from Meesho on Cash on Delivery”. Additionally, the point of view (POV) on the video says – “You are the crazy pink girls in town”.
Take a look at the video here:
The video, which was shared on August 17, has garnered over seven million views and elicited humorous replies.
A user commented, “Mahindra will definitely sue them”.
Another said, “Thank God they didn’t utter the word ‘empower’.”
“The government of India has set some colour for cars and if you painted your car in any other colour which government doesn’t approve. You will get fined,” a user wrote.
“Someone please tag Uttar Pradesh Police, lmao,” another user remarked.
In February, an Instagram user posted a video of a Range Rover wrapped in pink. According to reports, the owner of the SUV wrapped it in this colour to commemorate the birth of his daughter.
The visuals depict the luxury SUV in a pink motif, with several body graphics on the sides symbolising baby images and movements. The man triumphantly drives the SUV down the road and enters the neighbourhood on drumbeats. The man is eclectic and wishes to share his joy with everyone.
