To Raise Helmet Awareness, Uttarakhand Police Shares Video Of Girls Driving Recklessly
On a yellow scooty, the pillion rider, sporting a pink top and blue shorts can be seen standing and a couple of riders pass by.

The internet is full of videos of people driving their vehicles rashly or at a very high speed. Such attitude and negligence of traffic rules while driving can lead to a major accident. Recently, two girls met with an accident after they were seen driving rashly and at high speed. Uttarakhand Police, in a bid to spread awareness and safety while driving, shared the clip.

The clip shared by Uttarakhand Police shows a road with hilly terrain in the background. On a yellow scooty, the pillion rider, sporting a pink top and blue shorts can be seen standing and a couple of riders pass by. The girls on the scooty were not wearing any helmets. If you look closely at the video, you will notice that the scooty ends up at the side of the road, on a sandy area. She accelerates the scooty and in an attempt to bright it back on the road, the vehicle skids and both the girls fall in the middle of the road. They may have sustained deep cuts and injuries.

The video ended with the police sending out a message, “Stuntbaazi ka nasha sidhe aspatal pohochata hai (If you are addicted to pulling off stunts, it can lead you to hospital). Helmet aapko jaan bacha sakta hai (Helmet can save your life). Yatayat niyamo ka paalan kare (Please follow the traffic rules).” It further read that the police officials hoped people would not show such negligence while driving a vehicle.

More than 35,000 people have watched the clip on X, (formerly known as Twitter). The tweet read, “Don’t risk your life by doing stunts on the vehicle like this. While driving a two-wheeler, always wear a helmet.” A few in the comment section were angry with the girls for their reckless driving.

A comment read, “No innocent person should be killed because of them. In many road accidents, innocent people become victims of untimely death because of these drunkards and careless people. Their parents have failed.” Another wrote, “Very nice message by the police.” “Attempting stunts is like an addiction, you cannot get rid of it easily. It is a different matter that if the limbs get broken, then one will not be able to perform stunts.”

What's your reaction?
